Crazy weather weekend, right? Did you get snow? We just got some sleet on Friday, but up in the higher elevations near us, they got several inches of snow…before Halloween! Weird.
So…what did you make?
We all have pinned some awesome inspiration on Pinterest, and this weekend, I actually made something from all that inspiration. Did you? The linky is below, but here a little about my project.
Up until a few months ago, if you had asked me what a bunting was, I would have thought you were talking about baseball. But apparently they are these adorable banners made out of all sorts of things. I’ve pinned lots of them that have been used for all kinds of parties, celebrations and holidays.
Here are a few of my “Pinspiration” pics.
So, here is what I came up with.
Since Halloween is almost here and gone, I thought I would move on toward Thanksgiving, and “gather” pretty much sums it up.
I decided to use book pages, because, well, you know I love them, and its what I had on hand.
The letters I cut out of scrapbook paper I also had on hand, using some chipboard letters for templates. I just traced them onto the paper and then cut them out. (Don’t mind my dry, old-looking, unmanicured hands…yikes.)
Then, I just glued them to the pages, punched some holes on each side near the top.
And then strung the pages onto some twine.
I left about 12 inches of twine on each end and tied a loop at the end to hang it with.
Here are a few more beauty shots.
Now, its your turn to share what you made. I can’t wait to see.
Just a few linky party rules (yeah, there are always rules).
1. You must link back to this post so your readers can join in on the fun also. (Your link won’t work unless you have a link to this post.) You can use the button at the beginning of the post, or a text link.
2. Please use a permalink (to your specific post) and not your blog home page.
3. Please visit some of the other links and comment. That’s part of the fun of a party. Get to know some new folks.
4. If you don’t have a blog, share your pics on the Potentially Beautiful Facebook page.
Now, let’s party!
