You thought we were finished with mantles for a while didn’t you. Nope. We took down all our Christmas decor and now it is time to dress up those bare mantles. Link up and show us your mantle below.
My mantle isn’t really a mantle…it’s a shelf, is in my kitchen. It’s a fake mantle…a fantle. During the winter, I like reminders of warm and cozy things and candles, for me, bring a warm feeling. Since this is the kitchen, I added some of my white iron stone pitchers and an old rusty loaf pan I picked up on my trip to On a Whim in Lucketts, Va. (See that post here.)
My shutters are back that I painted last Summer and I added a platter that I picked up at TJ Maxx last year.
I love old antique keys and put this one on some burlap in a frame and added one of my blue jars with a little epsom salt and it was complete.
Now, let’s see your mantles or shelfs or whatever you have. 🙂
A few link party guidelines: (Yes, there are always rules.)
1. Please be a follower of Potentially Beautiful through an RSS feed or Google Friend Connect.
2. Enter your permalink of your post, not to your entire blog.
3. It is a party, so please visit some others and show some comment love.
4. Please link back to the party using the button below or a text link so others can find the party too.
That’s it. Link away!
It may feel like Spring here on the East Coast, but it is January and still Winter. Got your Winter mantles finished yet?
I’m finishing mine up today. Come on back Wednesday, January 11 and link up your winter beauties!
Pass on the news!
Ok, we all have Pinterest Boards full of inspiring stuff we want to make, wear, go, eat, etc. But are we actually doing anything with all that inspiration?
Well, I know I haven’t done much at all, so here is our chance to get some of this D.O.N.E.
Just pick a project on your Pinterest board, make it, and share it with us. So we can give credit where credit is due, please, please, please include a link to your inspiration photo. And, you don’t even have to be a blogger. Post pics of your projects on the Potentially Beautiful Facebook page.
Your project doesn’t have to be an exact copy of your inspiration, make it your own.
When you are finished, come on back here and link up on Monday. If all goes well, we will party every Monday with all our awesome, inspired projects!
If you aren’t a Pinterest-aholic yet, like most of us, just let me know and I will send you an invite. Yeah…I want you to be an addict too. There is no 7-step program, yet.
Since Christmas is in less than 2 months (oh my gosh!), we will be having a special party on Monday, November 21 for everyone to show off some Christmas projects. Feel free to link up holiday projects before then though.
So, go on over to Pinterest and pick your project and git ‘r done (I couldn’t help myself). We party on Monday Oct. 31!
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any addiction to Pinterest this may cause in any way, shape, or form. 🙂
It’s my first time hosting a linky party! Come on everybody…link up!
What do you have that is Potentially Beautiful? Have you picked up something at a thrift store or yard sale lately that is, well, not so perfect right now, but you just know has the potential to be beautiful? Or, have you already made it a beauty? Tell us all about it and link up below.
A client of mine wanted these tables updated. The coffee table had water marks all over it and the color was too light for his decor. He didn’t want to purchase new ones and I promised him they could be beautiful again.
We decided on staining the top dark and painting the legs black.
So, much better, right? I only got a picture of the end table before delivering them. I love how the top turned out. I used red mahogany satin from Minwax.
He was very happy.
So, whatcha got?
Post your intended post URL so that you your link directs us to that post,
not your entire blog.
You must link back to the party so that others can easily find the party and join in if they want to. You can get my button on the sidebar.
If you find your link deleted then the link back to the party wasn’t there. Just add the link and try again.
If you are new here I hope you will become a follower. (See the on my sidebar.)
Take time to visit a few of the other participants. You just may find a new favorite blog.
Alright everybody, come on back here on Thursday and link up to my first linky party.
